History
Lazzati family’s activity began in 1959 on the initiative
of Giusepe and Arrigo Lazzati with Bruno Fasolo
and Rossi (all they with a consolidated experience
in textile field).
They seized the first signals of change
in the textile sector
More free time and the increase of the per capote
Income promote a new way of wearing
(casual sport-wear) with the introduction of
new textile fibre (polyester and nylon).
Further more they were the first Italian textile
firm to import Nissan Japanese example.
This choice resulted so productive that
in the next 20 years Lazzati weaving factory
rich a primary position compared with
the traditional textile industries.
In the following years they knew a
period of great development.
The 20 loom of the 1959 became 200 in 1989
with a yearly production of 15 million of
mtq of fabric.
Made by technologically advanced yarns supplied
from firm as ICI, SNIA, RADICI, RHONE POULENC,
VISCOSUISSE, TEIJIN, leaders in textile field.
Lazzati’s organizative structure became
consolidated and competitive not only for
weaving but also for dyeing and finishing,
with the acquisition of Leucadia S.p.A.
